Application of liquid nitrogen in electronic industry

Release date: 2022-08-26 Content source: Suzhou Weidejie Ultra-low Temperature Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd.

Liquid nitrogen is a liquid with a low temperature of -196 ℃, which is obtained from nitrogen which occupies more than 70% of the air composition. Inert, colorless, non-toxic, volatile, and widely used. Liquid nitrogen is volatile at low temperature, so it is generally stored in a special container - liquid nitrogen tank.

1. Manufacturing and testing of electronic components
Liquid nitrogen is a faster and more efficient method of shielding and testing electronic components and circuit boards.

2. Low temperature ball milling technology
The low-temperature planetary ball mill is to continuously input liquid nitrogen gas into the planetary ball mill equipped with a thermal insulation cover. The cold air absorbs the heat generated by the high-speed rotating ball mill tank in time, so that the ball mill tank with materials and grinding balls is always in a constant state. in a low temperature environment. A necessary device for mixing, fine grinding, new product development and small batch production of high-tech materials in low temperature environment. The product is small in size, full in function, high in efficiency and low in noise, and is widely used in medicine, chemical industry, environmental protection, light industry, building materials, metallurgy, ceramics, minerals and other departments.

3. Superconducting technology
The unique properties of superconductors make it possible for them to be widely used in various fields. The use of liquid nitrogen instead of liquid helium as a superconducting refrigerant to obtain superconductors enables the large-scale development and application of superconducting technology, which is considered to be one of the greatest scientific discoveries in the 20th century.

4. Green cutting technology

Low temperature cutting is the use of low temperature fluids such as liquid nitrogen, liquid carbon dioxide and cold air to spray into the cutting area of the processing system, resulting in local low temperature or ultra-low temperature state in the cutting area, using the low temperature brittleness of the workpiece under low temperature conditions to improve the machinability of the workpiece , tool life and workpiece surface quality. There are two main application forms of liquid nitrogen cooling cutting. One is to use bottled pressure to directly spray liquid nitrogen into the cutting area like cutting fluid; the other is to use liquid nitrogen heated and evaporated to indirectly cool the tool or workpiece. At present, low-temperature machining is mainly used in the processing of difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys, high manganese steels, and hardened steels.
